Warning on Counterfeit NEC SCHOTT Thermal Fuses

This notice is being sent to our clients to warn that counterfeit thermal fuses resembling our company's SF-type thermal fuses have been discovered installed in finished products.  The counterfeit fuses appear to have been manufactured in China, and were found in products in circulation, chiefly in the Japanese market.

Our investigations have revealed that some counterfeit fuses are being sold complete with counterfeit NEC SCHOTT exterior packaging, inner bags, inspection sheet and other materials.  Features and quality of the counterfeit fuses are in many cases extremely poor, and there is a high risk that their use in your company's products can lead to serious accidents such as fire and burns.

To avoid the inadvertent purchase of counterfeit NEC SCHOTT thermal fuses, please be sure to purchase directly from our company or through one of our approved sales agencies.
